Insecurity: State Governors are frustrated – El-rufai
Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-rufai has expressed frustration over the spate of insecurity in the country.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television’s politics Today, on Monday, he lamented that State Governors are frustrated, helpless and dissatisfied with their roles, amid the challenges of insecurity in the country. According to him, they have no control over cohesive instruments of their states.
“We are all frustrated. I am frustrated in my state, many governors are frustrated in their states; we are called chief security officers only in name, we have no control over cohesive instruments of the state, he said
“We are almost helpless. The #EndSARS protest clearly showed the limit to the control of governors over the police and the military.
“Some of us have more influence than others, but to a large extent, you ask the commissioner of police to do something and he has to clear with the Inspector-General of Police; this is the reality.
“We are not in control of the police, I don’t determine who gets posted to my state as CP and if I give him directives, he can decide to flout the directives. So, we are all frustrated, he added

If as Governor you can’t not handle the security issues in your state then what are you governing
God will take control
Your frustrated because too many things are not done . in place of the inscurity, it’s because of lack of job opportunity to the youths and it makes them indulge into too many crimes
Being frustrated is noraml,if only you are doing the right thing you won’t be
If you are frustrated and you don’t know what to do again, you resign
Afterall that shows you are no more competent

You have to do something about this, the state of insecurities in this country is alarming, they should find lasting solution to it.
Some powerful politicians are behind all these problems we are facing because they are benefitting from it but one thing I know very well is that they will pay for it.
You (governors) should sit down together and look for a way out and stop blaming one party if not things will continue degenerate in the country.
You people need to talk to president buhari, the truth of it not just enter aso rock without telling him the truth of the challenges we are facing about insecurities. This is outrageous.
If as a governor you cant handle the security issue in your state all you need to do is resign from.
As a Governor if you cannot handle the issues of in security in your state then you are just like a father who can not protect his children
