Insecurity: Governors are tired and frustrated – Fayemi
Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi has stated that fellow governors are tired and frustrated of the issues of insecurity facing the country.
Speaking on Tuesday when he paid a solidarity visit to the Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, over the abduction of the Kankara students, Fayemi noted that governors need to address the issues of banditry, kidnapping, and criminality, including the causes of these problems.
“For us, the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF), we believe that we not only have to be on top of banditry, kidnapping and criminality generally, but we also have to be on top of the causes of these problems, Social inequality and poverty are key issues and we need to ensure that our governments, our states pry away our young people from the merchants of death who are using them as cannon fodder for this criminal acts.
“We can only do that through providing them with alternative means of livelihood and support system that will not entice them to these elements that are endangering the whole of our country… We are all tired, we are all frustrated that these issues are happening, he said
The governors can’t afford to be tired now. We need your skull to work now
Most of these insecurities are caused by you people and you also need to find solutions to it and it should be urgent.
You don’t even to lament, what we need is what have you done as chief security of the state? You all know the cause of these problems but you left it unattend to.
If you people can tackle unemployment and poverty, all these insecurities will reduce drastically in the country.
Security of the country is totally cracked and when the country doesn’t have security nothing will grow in the country. Most of you (governors) are the architecture of this insecurity and they should also solve the problem.
Thank God you yourself even in your right and what you are there to do for us…. you people know what you are doing now, later now what you we do we deferent from what you will still do. May God help us.
You people are the chief securities of your various states so I do not see why you cannot tackle this problem
Unless if there is something you are not telling us that is/are hindering you from doing your work.
If you are tired and frustrated about the insecurity in the country and there is nothing you can do about it again, you resign for other people who might know better what to do to solve this menace to take over
If you are tired and frustrated then find better solution to all this problems…….. After all it’s what votes you to do…. Protect the life and property of the citizens and country….
