Stop blaming God for Nigeria’s Woes, Obasanjo tells Leaders
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has warned Nigerian leaders to stop blaming God for the country’s present woes.
Obasanjo made this known in a statement on Tuesday which was contained in his 2021 message to Nigerians.
The former president urged Nigerians to work and pray for the nation to become better, noting that with Nigeria’s enormous resources, the country has no business with poverty.
“I like the motto of a school which says ‘work and pray.’ Some people say it should be ‘pray and work’, but it doesn’t matter to me in what order I put it, but prayer must go with work and work must go with prayer.
“And I believe we need to work hard in this country as we pray hard so that the coming year, the year 2021 will be a glorious year for us. But it will not happen unless we work to make it happen,” part of the statement read.
Whosoever that is blaming God for Nigeria’s woes is just messing up and wasting time
God gave us everything to make us great, so I don’t know on what grounds someone will be blaming God again
Our leaders both past and present are the ones to be blamed because they are the ones that have put us into this massive suffering
We have enough natural resources which can get to each if to be distributed but because of selfishness and greediness that’s why we are unable to move forward.
Obj is correct!! This country is already blessed with so many things but our leaders are so greedy and have stolen this country dry including Obj himself
Like the title of a play of Mr ola rorimi which I changed to “God is not to be blamed”. Nobody is blaming Nigeria woeful on God except our bad leaders after those Who walked hard to amalgamate us.
Even you are one of those leaders Who also drive us backward in this country, we are not blaming God except those Nigeria leaders.
