I killed her because she was a witch – Nigerian runaway soldier arrested for killing his mum says
The Kaduna state police command has arrested Army Corporal, Charles Thomson, for allegedly stabbing his mum, Modupe Thompson, multiple times to death at their resident in Sabon G.R.A on Tuesday, December 29.
Charles who has been known for always beating up his mother at the slightest opportunity stabbed her and went into hiding. He was arrested by the police and paraded on Thursday, December 31 by police.
Speaking to newsmen, Charles confessed to killing his mother because she was a ”witch.”
“I was arrested for culpable homicide, because my mother died in my hands while fighting with her. We were fighting as a result of spiritual dispute; I saw her turning to a serpent severally at night, so, it angered me.
She was even appearing and disappearing. And when I went into her room, I saw her with a 10 year-old boy running around her. That was what led to the fight,” he said
Charles claimed he was on sick leave but investigations showed he absconded from duty.
“I am presently on sick leave, because am incapacitated, I was injured, I fell during an attack in Maiduguri. I am not a dismissed soldier, I am still serving.”he said
Thompson who said his father abandoned his mum and siblings for over 20 years, alleged that his mother never had love for him.
“We had always had problems, there was no love. She didn’t have love for her children. So, I want to advise parents to always give assistance to their children and speak well about them in the public” he said
The police say he will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.

So pathetic, your mother that didn’t kill you when you were a baby, something must be wrong with you.
The authority should check him wether he is not insane, how would a person committed such atrocity.
He should be killed back because if he is spare he may committ the one that is more than that, he is a wicked soul.
No matter what happened a human being doesn’t have the power to kill a human being no matter what happened. He should be punished for it.
