Deji Adeyanju reacts as IGP orders arrest of Sunday Igboho

Popular activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to the arrest order for Sunday Igboho by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

Igboho had issued a quit notice to Fulani in Igangan, Ibarapa Local Government, Oyo State, accusing them of the rising insecurity in the area, following the tension generated by the quit notice IGP Adamu ordered the arrest of Mr. Igboho.

Reacting to this development, Adeyanju, a staunch critic of the President Muhummadu Buhari-led administration, queried the order.

He asked why the IGP did not order the arrest of some Arewa youths who gave Igbo people in the North quit some months ago.

He wrote:

But IGP did not order arrest of AREWA YOUTHS that gave Igbos quit notice.

  1. That is what is killing this country which is tribalism Even in the government, may Almighty God have mercy on us.

  2. That’s why this fulani herdsmen or people are operating wherever they are in the country because nobody will arrest them.

  3. IGP let those fulani people that threatening the unity of country without doing anything to them but to other tribe that is seeking justice in their land but he ordered the arrest of them, we shall see.
