Nigerians without NIN risk 14 years imprisonment – Isa Pantami

The Federal Government on Thursday has warned that any Nigerian without their National Identity Number, NIN risk 14 years imprisonment.

This was according to a statement by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami during a press briefing at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Pantami warned that Nigerians without NIN risk 14 years imprisonment as stipulated by the country’s constitution.

He also said that 189 million Subscriber Identification Modules, Sim, have been registered in the country out of which 150 million registrations have been completed.
