Dowen College: Atiku demands justice for Sylvester Oromoni

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has demanded justice for Sylvester Oromoni, the 12-year-old Secondary School student, who was allegedly assaulted at Dowen College Lagos State.

Sylvester died from internal injuries he sustained after an assault by fellow students.

The school Principal, Mrs. Adebisi Layiwola has however denied any form of bullying or attack on the student.

This led the Lagos State government to shut down the school and ordered an investigation into the incident following the outrage on the case.

Reacting on Twitter, Atiku urged the the authorities to bring the culprits to book.

He wrote, “We shall be failing in our duties as parents/guardians, administrators, security agencies and government if we do not get to the bottom of the case of late Sylvester Oromoni.

“ It is beholden upon us to enthrone a safe environment in our schools.#Justiceforsylvester”
