“Only God can enthrone, dethrone” – Imam suspended for criticizing Buhari speaks

The Chief Imam of Apo Legislative Quarters Mosque in Abuja, Shiekh Nuru Khalid has reacted to his suspension after he criticized President Muhammadu Buhari

The Islamic scholar had berated the Buhari government over the spate of insecurity in Nigeria. Speaking during a sermon, he urged Nigerians to boycott elections if the government can’t protect them.

Reacting to his suspension, Sheikh Khalid in a Facebook post he shared said only God can enthrone and dethrone.

“God is the most powerful. He gives (enthrones) and takes away power (dethrones) from whomever He wishes.

“Oh God! The master of sovereignty, you give sovereignty to whom you please, and seize sovereignty from whom you please, you honour whom you please and you abase whom you please, all good is in your hands, indeed you have power over all things, he wrote
