Ensure that Mrs Bolanle Raheem does not die in vain – Femi Falana tells Nigerian Lawyers
Human Rights Lawyer, Femi Falana has admonished Nigerian lawyers to ensure Lagos Lawyer, Bolanle Raheem doesn’t die in vain
Bolanle was shot dead on December 25 2022 by a trigger happy policeman, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi. He has however been suspended by the Police Service Commission
Reacting to this, Falana asked the Nigerian Bar Association to mobilise the masses against police brutality in Nigeria.
“Nigerian lawyers must ensure that Mrs Bolanle Raheem does not die in vain like others who were dispatched to their untimely graves before her, he said
“Indeed, the best tribute that the NBA can pay to the deceased is to use her cold-blooded murder to mobilise the Nigerian people to end police brutality in Nigeria.
“To start with, police checkpoints must be removed from Nigerian roads. The roads should be patrolled by combined teams of officers from the police and road safety commission.”
I hope Nigerian bar association won’t allow their colleague to die in vain
What Nigeria policemen are doing is very bad
That policeman should be punished without compromising
that is the only thing they can do for her family…….
