If the real votes of Rivers were counted, I won – Peter Obi

Presidential Candidate of the Labour party Peter Obi has claimed that he won the Presidential polls in Rivers State.

He made this claim in an interview on Arise TV on Monday. he said the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike worked against him in the state.

He dismissed the insinuation that only Igbos voted for him, asking: ”Are the Igbo in Nasarawa, are the Igbo in Plateau, are the Igbo in Abuja?”

“In Rivers, where you know that the governor came out against me and everything; if the real votes of Rivers were counted, I won. I had over 50 something per cent of the vote. The other two parties were sharing the others, he said

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had announced the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner in Rivers State after polling 231,591 votes to defeat its closest opponent, the Labour Party, which scored 175,071.
