Call a meeting with Afenifere, Ohanaeze, others, to unite Nigeria – SAN, Agbakoba tells Tinubu

Olisa Agbakoba, a former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, has urged President Bola Tinubu to engage with regional socio-cultural organizations in order to foster unity in Nigeria.

Agbakoba specifically recommended that Tinubu should meet with Afenifere and Ohanaeze Ndigbo, two prominent regional groups.

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) expressed his concern about the deep divisions within Nigeria and emphasized the need for unity in order to achieve progress.

During an interview with Arise Television, Agbakoba emphasized that Tinubu requires the support of regional bodies to effectively reach out to their respective communities and unite the country.

“A lot is expected of him and here are a couple of things, I would say national unity because the country is so divided that nothing can happen without President Tinubu making a big attempt to unite Nigerians.

“I would suggest that he can call a meeting of the sub-nationalities of Nigeria. The Afeniferes, the Ohanaezes, because these guys have a very strong hold on their ethnic nationalities.

”If that happens and it is successful, that then pushes the way forward for him to unleash a couple of big programmes, Agbakoba stated
