Tinubu meets 36 states Governors in Aso Villa

President Bola Tinubu is hosting members of the Nigerian Governors Forum at the Presidential Villa. The gathering includes both newly elected and reelected governors from various states. The meeting began at noon, shortly after Tinubu administered the oath of office to Senator George Akume, who has assumed the position of Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

The swearing-in ceremony took place briefly at the council chamber of the Presidential Villa on Wednesday, with government officials in attendance. Notable figures present during the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, and Mrs. Regina Akume, the spouse of the newly appointed SGF.

Akume has since settled into his new role as SGF, while President Bola Tinubu is currently engaged in a meeting with the governors of all 36 states under the platform of the Nigerian Governors Forum.
