APC did not promise a magical or overnight solution – Oshiomhole

Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North Senatorial District, has clarified that President Bola Tinubu did not make any promises to instantly resolve the numerous challenges facing the nation.

During an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, the former governor of Edo State stated that the President is not a magician and cannot be expected to solve all problems overnight.

He reaffirmed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is still committed to its campaign promises, and at no point did it guarantee a 24-hour solution to Nigeria’s issues.

The lawmaker expressed his optimism that the Tinubu administration would fulfill its promises, highlighting that the President has demonstrated his dedication to achieving this through recent policy initiatives.

He said, “They know they were not electing a magician. And nobody promised a magical solution. Don’t bother giving me an example. I know what we (APC) promised more than you.

“Whatever is reported, we are the source. We did not promise anyone a 24-hour solution and we did not promise an overnight solution. Can you show me any document where we said ‘in 24 hours, this will be done?’”
