A true Muslimah will never leave her marriage because her husband married another wife – Nigerian woman opines

Umu Muheebah, a Nigerian woman, stated that a devout Muslim wife would not divorce her husband for marrying another woman.

One Maryam Ibrahim Kano however disagreed, asserting that a woman leaving her marriage because of polygamy doesn’t undermine her identity as a true Muslim woman. According to her, it is not Haram for her to leave the marriage if she feels she can’t share or she thinks she will disrespect her husband, it’s better she leaves the marriage
