The vast majority of those in the Nigerian delegation to COP28 hardly understand or have anything to do with Climate Change, we must stop waste – Peter Obi

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, remarked that a significant portion of the Nigerian delegation attending the COP28 Climate summit in Dubai consists of either irrelevant civil servants or individuals connected to high-ranking government officials, including friends and family.

Expressing his views on his social media handle, Obi highlighted that many members of the Nigerian delegation lack a comprehensive understanding of climate change or any direct involvement with related matters.

This is coming after Nigerians have criticized the presidency for including media personality Toke Makinwa in its delegation to the climate summit.
