Ogun State police apprehend elderly woman, accomplices after selling 10 human heads

The Ogun State police have apprehended an elderly woman engaged in selling human parts along with her accomplices. Special Anti-Robbery Squad officers arrested them when an undercover officer posed as a buyer, preventing the sale of a human head for N120,000. Recovered body parts include kidneys, heads, intestines, livers, and more.

The police initiated the investigation due to a rise in unexplained disappearances. The arrested gang members include a grave digger, buyer, and seller. The buyer confessed to a four-year involvement, purchasing human heads for spiritual purposes. Grave diggers disclosed exhuming corpses for heads, and one acknowledged selling grave-digging services to the gang.

The elderly woman attempted to convince investigators that the flesh they saw was regular beef, not human, by eating a piece. She claimed to have sold 10 human heads in two years for herbalists, while police continue their investigation.
