Life has been meaningless since I lost my mom – Wizkid

Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, has opened up about the profound grief he is experiencing following the passing of his mother, Dolapo Balogun. The singer’s mother, Dolapo, passed away in August 2023 while Wizkid was on a tour for his album, ‘More Love Less Ego’ in Europe.

Sharing his emotions on social media, Wizkid expressed that life has lost its meaning without his mother. In a Wednesday Instagram post, the artist encouraged his fans to seek solace in their connection with God.

He wrote; “Made idk days after I lost my mum. Life has been meaningless! But we dey. Sometimes you have to let everything go. Work with God.”
