Don’t abuse the “no gree for anybody” slogan and attack security operative discharging their duties – Nigerian Police tells Nigerians

The Nigerian Police Force has spoken against the use of the viral 2024 slogan, ‘no gree for anybody,’ the warning from the Force spokesperson, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, cautioning against the slogan due to potential violence against police officers, faced strong opposition from netizens. They adamantly asserted that no one could prevent them from spreading the slogan.

But in a tweet on his official X handle on Thursday night, the Force spokesperson explained that the “Police are in the best position to advise and educate Nigerians on possible early warning signs of an impending danger as a civil and people-oriented institution”.

“Do not take the 2024 slogan for granted. Do not abuse the slogan and capitalise on it to be attacking security operatives while discharging their duties.

“Be reasonable with the slogan, sue for, and embrace peace anywhere you find yourself, even at home. It is well with our dear country”, he said.
