INEC are thieves and have enthroned fellow thieves to inflict pains on us – Kenneth Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, a spokesperson for the Obi/Datti Presidential Campaign Council, has criticized the prevailing hardship in Nigeria on Monday, attributing it to what he described as a “technical glitch” imposed on Nigerians by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The term “technical glitch” was previously used by INEC to explain its failure to transmit election results to its online portal during the last presidential election, despite prior assurances to do so in real-time. This failure led to controversies regarding the credibility of the election results.

Although the Supreme Court ruled that INEC has the authority to determine its result transmission methods, Okonkwo expressed frustration with corrupt INEC officials, accusing them of facilitating the imposition of corrupt leaders who inflict suffering on Nigerians. He made these remarks in a post on his social media platform.

He wrote, “Nigerians did not vote for this level of hardship. This hardship is technically glitched on us by INEC. O’ God multiply hardship and sufferings on INEC officials that have ever rigged elections in Nigeria. They are thieves that have enthroned fellow thieves to inflict pains on us.”
