WAEC timetable is Muslim provoking – MURIC

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has reacted to the just released WAEC Timetable saying it is anti-muslim as it clashes with their Friday prayer time.

This was according to a statement by MURIC Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola where he tagged the timetable as Muslim provoking saying it is the handiwork of sadists and anarchists as he called out the examination board to adjust the timetable.

“There are at least three clashes between examination periods and Muslim prayers on Fridays: Management-in-Living (2 pm, Friday 14th August, 2020); Literature-in-English (2 pm, Friday 21st August); Health Science (1.30 pm, Friday, 4th September).

“It is the handiwork of sadists and anarchists. It smirks of an anti-Muslim machinery oiled by the passion for hate and injustice. This is in spite of efforts made by us to guard against this kind of clash.

“Our message to WAEC is very clear and simple: Adjust your timetable and stop provoking Muslims forthwith.”

  1. There is sense in what he is saying. The students has the right to observe the prayers according to their Islamic rites. Just as you cant set Exam timetable on Sunday, Moslem right of worship on Friday should be respected
