Insecurity: Camels ferry deadly Weapons through Northern borders – ACF alleges

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has alleged that camels are now being used to bring in “Rocket Propelled Grenades, RPGs” and “anti-aircraft guns” into the country through the borders in the region.

According to a statement by the National Chairman of the ACF, Chief Audu Ogbeh, the weapons were being ferried into the country from a neighboring country.

He, however, did not mention any country, in particular, saying that the information was provided by ACF members from Sokoto and Zamfara States.

He expressed that the alarm was being raised so that the Federal Government acts fast.

He expressed that the camels bringing in the consignments (weapons) are not being checked by security operatives.

  1. I have said it time without numbers that security operative in that area need to be checked, there are lots of weapons coming through north which those security agencies do not bother to seize or verify the authenticity of that weapons.

  2. I think some of the security boss are benefitting from this insecurity of a thing because if not they won’t give order not to checkmate those people in charge.

  3. I think this is time to change all those security chiefs because all of them are from northern part of the country and they are powerless to find lasting solution to this, this is sad.

  4. There must be someone saboteur the effort of those security personnel among them and those people are not fish out, they won’t record any success in the fighting against the insecurity in the country. May Almighty God have mercy on us.

  5. This is an intelligent report, have you people reported to the security agencies, i guess you guys are also fed up with them the way I deed. It very bad that we are doing this to ourselves

  6. This matter of in security in the country is getting worse, and my believe is that President muhammadu buhari is benefitting from it.
