Service Chiefs: People don’t see what Buhari is seeing – Garba Shehu
Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu has stated reasons why the President has not yet fired the Service Chiefs as many Nigerians have demanded.
Garba in an interview on TVC said it is so because he sees what Nigerians do not see in them.
“It is because he is seeing things that critics are not seeing. He is seeing things most people don’t see,” he said
When asked why the security heads are still in office, he said; “It is not a tenured appointment. There is no part of the law that says chief of army staff must serve for two years. Then, after two years, he must go. He serves at the pleasure of the president. Now, the president has said again he will make changes. When will he make those changes? It is entirely up to him. I think Nigerians should give him the benefit of the doubt.”
On the war against members of the terrorist group, Boko Haram, Garba said “This country has always been challenged by issues of insecurity. No country is crime-free. The challenges are mutating … but all hands are now on deck. From the resolutions we are seeing particularly from the president, 2021 is going to be very decisive in dealing with Boko Haram, banditry, and kidnapping.”
You are now giving time to decisively deal with bokoharam and so on which are threat to nation’s security, this is bad.
What does he see? He should explain to us and let us (Nigerians) understand to in order to stop blaming him for insecurity in the country.
The situation of insecurity in this country is pathetic bokoharam, bandits, kidnappers and so on are maim people in the country to extent where people are leaving their home for safety, you are still asking them to be patient to when.
Those presidential aids are just open their mouths and close it, they the one misleading the president and not telling him the truth of it. Those service chiefs should be retired and give room for new ideas.
That is lie cuz they are not doing anything but they are loyalist to him and that is why refused to retired them…..
