Kagara College: Niger State Govt shuts down Boarding Schools
Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello has ordered the closure of all boarding schools in Rafi, Mariga, Munya, and Shiroro local government areas of the state until further notice following the killing and abduction of students and staff at the Government secondary School, Kagara.
The Governor gave the directive while addressing newsmen in Minna. He said the action became necessary to save the life of the students as the areas have already been taken over by bandits.
He also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to deploy all necessary mechanisms to help in containing the situation as it is now out of hand.
The President in turn has charged armed Forces and Police to ensure the safe return of those abducted.
