Man strangles his wife in her sleep while their daughter watches in horror
A man, identified as Gbenro, has been accused of strangling his wife, Wayesola, in her sleep as their daughter, Fayoke witnessed the incident.
Narrating the incident, Fayoke said it happened in the early hours of the morning at Salvation Army Street, Odojmu, Ondo, Akure. She said she saw her father strangling her mother when she got up to ease herself but couldn’t do anything because her father threatened to kill her.
According to reports by TheNation, it was Fayoke’s cry of horror that attracted neighbours, who arrived to find Wayesola had died. Neighbours immediately locked the man indoors to stop him from escaping, then they called the brother of the deceased. Ondo Police spokesperson, ASP Tee- Leo Ikoro, said the matter has been transferred to the state CID for further investigation.
