Hushpuppi sentenced to over 11 years in prison, to pay victims $1.7m

A United States court in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, sentenced international fraudster, Ramon Olorunwa Abbas popularly known as Hushpuppi to over 11 years in federal prison. He was also ordered to pay $1,732,841 in restitution to two fraud victims

The US District Judge Otis D. Wright II said Hushpuppi conspired to launder tens of millions of dollars through online scams and flaunted his luxurious, crime-funded lifestyle on social media.

It was reported last week that he had been sentenced to jail but it wasn’t until Monday that he was officially sentenced.
