Suspension of Kwankwaso, Nollywood, Hollywood joke – Bubu Galadima

Buba Galadima, one of the founding figures and prominent members of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has characterized the suspension of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the national leader of the party, as a theatrical spectacle akin to something from both Nollywood and Hollywood.

It is worth recalling that a faction within the NNPP executed the suspension of Kwankwaso and several other members on Tuesday, citing alleged engagement in “anti-party activities” during various meetings. This faction claimed to possess “concrete evidence” that Kwankwaso, the party’s presidential candidate for the February 25 election, had participated in actions contrary to the party’s interests.

However, Galadima, speaking during a televised program on Channels TV that aired on Tuesday night, remarked that the individuals who announced Kwankwaso’s suspension had previously been expelled from the NNPP. He also asserted that the party remains cohesive and is not plagued by any of the conflicts that are being circulated.

He said, “When I saw it on social media, I thought it was like a Nollywood or Hollywood joke.

“Now let me make a small correction, those that were expelled were Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam and Gabriel Agbor Major.

“All of them who were expelled were called to a disciplinary committee. They were drilled and they accepted their sins and it was on the basis of their acceptance that they were recommended to the Nation Working Committee for expulsion.
