Crossdressing is not an offense – DSP Edafe replies Daniel Regha calling for the arrest of Bobrisky, James Brown, and co after suspected homosexuals were arrested at a Gay wedding in Delta State

Spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, DSP Bright Edafe has hinted that individuals like Bobrisky and James Brown cannot be apprehended solely on the grounds of being cross-dressers.

On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, the command presented several individuals who were apprehended during the investigation of a same-sex wedding that took place at a hotel in Warri.

Social media commentator Daniel Regha, had inquired about the absence of arrests involving their “role models” Bobrisky and James Brown

“Bobrisky, James Brown, Eni & others who champion cross-dressing are still walking free; Until these people are prosecuted, many will continue to emulate. Arresting 100 cross-dressers in Delta is one thing, but why ignore their mentors? The police should make an example of ’em,” he tweeted.

In response to the tweet, DSP Edafe; “Daniel, get your facts right, they were not arrested for cross-dressing, they were arrested for conducting and attending a gay wedding ceremony. Bring a part of the law that stipulates punishment for cross-dressing or categorize it as an offense.”
