BREAKING: Tinubu’s ex-minister, Lalong sworn in as Senator

Simon Lalong, the former Minister of Labour and Employment, has been inaugurated as a Senator representing Plateau South. Lalong, a former governor of Plateau state, took the oath of office on Wednesday on the Senate floor after submitting his resignation to President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday.

The resignation was confirmed through a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr. Makut Simon Macham. Lalong cited a legal process that declared him the duly elected senator for Plateau South and thanked the president for his past ministerial appointment.
