The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi on Saturday January 16 bragged about Iwo town having healing powers for Coronavirus patients.

The monarch also prayed for an end to COVID-19 pandemic as he urged Nigerians to adhere to all safety protocol by National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Oluwo said;

“God has bestowed power on kings to legislate on his behalf on earth and I want to thank God that he has been supporting me since I became the king of this ancient town. Within the five years of my reign, the community has witnessed a series of development. My subjects are living happily and healthy. We did not have any issue of Coronavirus. Anybody with COVID-19 that enters Iwo will be automatically healed.”

  1. You have said it all that people should adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocol and it shouldn’t be taking with levity hand.

  2. Prevention is better than cure, we shouldn’t allow anyone to deceive us on the issue of this Corona virus.

  3. Speaking from both sides of your mouth,. Your Iwo land is land of healing for coronavirus, yet you advice people to adhere strictly to the pandemic protocol. Won’t you like your Iwo land to turn to Nigerian Mecca where those that contacted the disease will come for healing while a great many will come for tourism to see your wonderland

  4. If Nigeria could think out of the box and look inwards, they could locally produce their of medicine or even vaccine to cure coronavirus. But we are used to copy advanced countries and to embezzle the funds meant to procure the medics and vaccine. To me, I see no difference between coronavirus and malaria typhoid. They are one and same thing only coronavirus is a virus that thrive more in humid environment. And as Nigeria has dry sunny weather, coronavirus does not survive our environment
