Submission in marriage has nothing to do with your wife’s money – Nigerian Lawyer tells Husbands

In a Facebook post on Monday, July 24, Jemimah Ifeng, a Nigerian lawyer and pastor’s wife, expressed her views on marriage dynamics. She emphasized that the responsibility of providing for the family lies with the husband, and any financial assistance the wife wishes to offer should be entirely voluntary.

Jemimah clarified that the concept of submission in marriage is not related to the wife’s financial contributions. Instead, she stressed that it is the husband’s duty to fulfill the role of provider within the family.

Furthermore, she advised hardworking women to avoid marrying lazy men, implying that a strong work ethic and responsible behavior should be essential qualities in potential life partners.
