Ned Nwoko’s abducted aide, Barrister Chris Agidy killed, police recover body

Barrister Chris Agidy, Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North, who was abducted by bandits in 2023, has been confirmed dead by the Federal Capital Territory Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh. Agidy was among the 19 individuals kidnapped from their homes in the Galadimawa area of Abuja in November 2023.

Initially, it was reported that 12 of the abductees had been killed, but their identities remained unclear as efforts to rescue them continued. The confirmation of Agidy’s death came on Tuesday, with the FCT PPRO stating that he was killed by one of the wanted notorious kidnappers in the country’s capital, Samaila Wakili. Wakili was apprehended on February 24 in the Sardauna Forest, Toto area of Nasarawa State, by police operatives.

The FCT PPRO said the suspect, upon his arrest, “led police operatives to where the remains of Barr. Chris Agidy is”.

She noted that “the remains was recovered and deposited in Gwagwalada General Hospital”.
